The Company: A Trading Company dealing in Fan Coil Units, Air Handling Units, Fans, Valves, Package Units, Ducted Splits, VRF Units, Chillers etc is looking for a Application Engineer in the UAE to join on immediate basis. Major responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Review customer specifications and prepare comprehensive professional proposals / submittals. • Thorough knowledge of HAVC products like FAHU’s, AHU’s, FCU’s, Chillers, VRF, DX Units, Package Units Etc. • Should Know how to do heat load as per UAE conditions, Knowledge of Psychometric calculations. • Review customer specifications and prepare comprehensive professional proposals. • Do the product selections for FAHU’s/AHU’s/FCU’s/Chillers/VRF and other equipments. • Do the production drawings. • Do know details on Eurovent certification and process to get the certification done/renewal etc. • Should know the AHRI certification process for FCU’s and the details of the same. • Handle customer telephone inquiries. • Interface with outside vendors to solicit quotes for equipment. • Effectively process orders and manage any issues that may arise. • Act as a liaison between principal supplier and the customer. • Participate in sales calls with the Sales Engineer as part of development. • Provide technical support to customers. • Coordinate the handling of service calls when needed. • Ability to perform and work under different conditions and work under minimum supervision. • Participate in pre-award meetings as required. • Develop effective rapport with customer contacts. Required Experience: • Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar • Minimum 2-3 years of experience working with pumping solutions. Contracting or Consulting experience will also be considered. Other Skills: • Excellent communication skills • Computer skills • Experience working with outside sales team • Self starter with a positive attitude • Highly organized • Ability to handle multiple projects with quick turnaround requirements
